This is kind of a strange problem I'm having. It did it to me once before, but a reinstall fixed it. Now it's doing it again.
A registered user who clicks "Create blog" types in a name of a new blog and verifies their password, normal so far. If the blog does not exist it says "Valid blog name" like normal, but when they click Register, it changes to red "Blog name already taken" (or something like that).
Then it redirects to portal.php with the following error message: ERROR: The blog requested does not exist or has been deactivated.
This error message appears in my error log: [27-Feb-2007 07:11:21] PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /path/to/lyceum_installation/lib/wp-includes/template-functions-category.php on line 323
The SQL tables appear to be created, but visiting the URL it at which it would normally exist raises a 404 error.
Hmm...now new users cannot register at all. This is a fresh install with no modifications. I'm getting SQL errors like the following:
[27-Feb-2007 08:43:23] PHP Warning: implode() [<a href='function.implode'>function.implode</a>]: Bad arguments. in /path/to/lyceum_installation/system-admin/blog-management.php on line 34 =====database error===== Error#: 1064 Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds t o your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 5 Query: SELECT `blog`, `option_value` AS `name` FROM options WHERE `option_name` = 'blogname' AND `blog` IN () ========================
feel free to use trac or the forum as you desire. sometimes it's good to figure out through the forum if something is a bug, and then create a ticket.
This is one of those case :) so go ahead and create a ticket, including those error message you noted above, and any other info you have. the more the better. it will be sure to get lots of attention from me soon.
